Strange drawings and a face have appeared on Formby beach

We are not sure what these drawings are or even if they are old. We do not know but, they have appeared today on the National Trust beach at Formby squirrel reserve. These photos were captured by Angela Hayes who sent them into us earlier tonight.

Are they old? We aren't sure. We have sent them to the National Trust who hopefully can verify if they are fake or real. What we do know, is that they are amazing.
