Sid the Springer Spaniel still missing
A Springer Spaniel named Sid has been missing since Monday 10th October from Crosby beach. A huge search has been going on to find him with possible sightings in different places. Hopefully, nobody has actually taken him and he is just trying to find his way home.
Formby beach is a stones throw from Crosby beach and Sid could easily have made his way up here. Please keep a look out for him and if you see him, call one of the owners on: 07455719929 and 07455 793035
A Facebook page has been set up with all the details which you can view by CLICKING HERE.
The Facebook page says: "If you contact us with any information, it will be confidential and no steps will be taken to pursue it in any way or form, we just want this boy home, SO PLEASE CONTACT US."
"Sid Male Springer spaniel has ran off while on Crosby beach on 10th October. Last seen running up Harbord Road, Waterloo, or possibly towards Adelaide Terrace and the Marine Gardens. He lives in Netherton, so could be anywhere in between. If you are in Waterloo, Crosby, Seaforth, please look out for him. He has an I.D. tag. He's friendly, but might not be easy to catch, unless you have a ball!

This is the timeline of events below:- Monday 10th October - He ran away on Monday at 7pm at crosby beach. A woman saw him jump in her garden around that time on the beach front. The coastguard spotted him at around 10am on the Tuesday 4th October but we're unable to catch him. There was possible sighting in the gardens near crosby that evening.
Tuesday night 11th October there was a sighting of a springer spaniel in Thornton, auary road.
Also on Tuesday morning a springer was spotted wandering around orrell park Thornton, amaury road was at 10pm ish in a garden but he ran off.
Wednesday 6 o'clock on 12th October (pm i think) he may have been spotted on St oswalds lane heading towards the canal. Then last night a Lady phoned about a sighting in Maghull it was Melling lane towards Weavers Lane. This one sounded like a positive sighting of Sid.
Not sure about the crosby village one but it was on Saturday around 12.40pm. 2 sightings in village.
There was a sighting at the beach of a dog going though bins Sunday 16th October at crosby baths
Also a springer was spotted alone and running around near the marina onto the beach. I think it was Saturday afternoon 15th October
Formby Bubble also had a post written on our Facebook page about a possible sighting of Sid with somebody on the train towards Southport.
A further possible sighting said: "I saw a couple of guys get on the Southport train last weekend. They had a couple of dogs with them and a dog very much like this one. The dog didn't seem to be behaving weirdly but it did look a little nervous but that could have been because it didn't like the train. What I thought was weird about it was the spaniel was wearing a make-shift harness that looked totally out of place. I think they got off around the Ainsdale area. It may be a totally different dog but it just looked out of place. Just thought i'd mention it, just in case."
The owners of Sid just want him home desperately, please look for him and help as much as you can.
