156kg of waste collected in 90 minutes on this morning's beach clean

This morning at the Marine Conservation Society beach clean event 156kg of waste was collected by 21 volunteers in 90 minutes including 10 children and 2 teachers from Newfield Primary School in Thornton.
This total included 640 separate items of plastic and unfortunately, a sizeable number of wet wipes and cotton bud sticks were found.
Andy Laverick, MCS Sea Champion would like to say thank you for the massive effort and support to all the volunteers.
