Formby Poetry and Prose evenings return

Formby Poetry and Prose have a good program lined up for the next couple of months when they return on Wednesday 28th September with Shirley Tomlinson as their guest poet.

Then in October they hope to have the very talented and recently published Ged Thompson.

In November they have a special Remembrance themed night with Anne Oakes performing her WW1 poetry. If anyone wishes to bring along a poem on the theme of remembrance for open mic that night, please do so.

Hilary is looking forward to seeing you all on 28th and she hopes that you have had a lovely summer.

They meet on the last Wednesday of every month in the Bier House at St Peter's Church from 7:00pm to around 9:00-9:30 pm.

For a mere £2 you can go along and enjoy a tea or coffee and listen to their guest poet, and they have some very talented poets lined up. Then either listen to or join in with the open mic session.
