Burglary Alert in Hightown
Sefton's CID are currently investigating two recent house burglaries and want to raise awareness in the area. House to house enquiries have already been conducted and the matters are under investigation The first offence was on Thornbeck Avenue between 10:30 am and around 3pm on Wednesday 31st August 2016. The offenders appear to have gained entry from a ground floor window which was unlocked but close over and have taken property including cash and a laptop.
The second offence occurred in the early hours of Sunday 4th September 2016 in school Road. The offenders have forced a rear door and taken car keys and stolen a Vauxhall Meriva Motor vehicle from the driveway. Anyone with information can contact Sefton’s CID by calling 101, alternatively information can be passed anonymously via the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. The next crime prevention surgery is on Friday 9th September 2016 between 1-3pm at Tesco on the Formby Bypass, located in the Costa Coffee, where officers will be waiting to offer free crime prevention advice or discuss any local policing issues.
