Police called to firearm sighting on Harrington Road

Emergency services were called to an incident on Harington Road, Formby at around 10pm last night, when a member of the public reported her concern after she sighted what she thought was a man with a firearm. Police Officers, Paramedics and the Police helicopter attended and found that the man had been putting an air weapon in the boot of his car.

He was given advice around the handling and storage of the weapon but no offences had taken place.
