Beachwatch beach clean Formby Beach on Monday 27th June
Andy Laverick, our local Marine Conservation Society Sea Champion (local based volunteer) is asking for volunteers to join in with their upcoming event, the new Mayor will be in attendance to lend a hand and to observe all the good work that is done to maintain our beautiful coastline.
This Beachwatch event is coming up on Monday 27th of June from 10.00 am. It will be at Freshfield beach again (on the national trust property).
A previous local event collected 50 kg of waste in 45 minutes with the most frequent item being found was unfortunately plastic, of which thirty nine items were found.
