Formby Live this weekend

Starting tomorrow, Friday 24th June our village comes alive with the sound of music for the three day music festival.
The festival kicks off at 7pm on Friday at the Hop & Horn, with live music from Matthew Keenan. You can catch Matt performing at each of the participating bars during the Saturday afternoon ‘Ramble’, 9:30pm at Woodwards Tricia McTeague and ‘Rumours of Fleetwood Mac’ regular Ben Hughes.
It’s the battle of the DJ’s later at 11pm with top City centre DJ, Lee Morrison, and over at Café D’Art, Farm front-man Peter Hooton will be mixing it up. Both bars will be open until very late.
Saturday afternoon at Formby Pool will be a great place to be for all the family; with children’s rides, BBQs, and of course a great line-up from the Merseycats’ stage.
Meanwhile over in Chapel Lane, look out for the Busk Stop stage! A plethora of artists will be performing in our shopping centre, including ladies choir ‘Singing Our Socks Off’.
From 2pm in Woodwards, Café D’Art and the Hop & Horn, be entertained by the Live Music ‘Ramble’. Catch your favourites at one or more of these bars! Plenty of great live music to look forward to in the evening at the bars too!
On Sunday Chapel Lane will be transformed with fairground rides, stalls, beer tents and a magnificent main stage. The entertainment starts at 12:45 with local choir ‘Make Noise’ and culminates with a set from Liverpool band ‘Space’ at 5:15pm.
The Merseycats stage is also on at the Pool – look out for local lad the Amazing Paul Kappa!
Live music from 2pm at all the bars too, so come on down and enjoy.
