A 27yr old man arrested after burglars target four homes in Formby last weekend

Formby Police Inspector urges everyone to make sure your property is secure at night after four burglaries took place in Formby over last weekend of 11th and 12th June.
Merseyside Police are investigating properties on Ince Crescent, Larkhill Lane and Victoria Road who were all targeted along with an address on Moss Side where a Volkswagen Passat was stolen from outside a property.
Merseyside Police have said that force was used to gain access to the properties. Jim Atherton , Formby's neighbourhood inspector, said: "We are currently investigating four offences of Burglary reported over the last weekend. This includes the first where a car has been stolen in Formby for several months."
He went on to say: "They all appear to have occurred overnight, but in only one, is it obvious that force was used to gain entry. That was in in Moss Side, Formby, where a VW Passatt car was stolen. The other locations were Ince Crescent, Larkhill Lane and Victoria Road.
Most burglars are opportunists, Can I urge everyone to take those extra few minutes to ensure your property is secure at night especially ground floor doors and windows."
The stolen car was recovered in Liverpool on Tuesday, June 14. A 27-year-old man from Kirkby was arrested at the scene and charged with dangerous driving. He appeared in court the next day and was remanded into custody.
