A 6-year-old boy is missing on Formby Beach

Merseyside Police can confirm that we are currently searching Formby beach after the report of a missing boy this afternoon, Sunday 5 June. The boy is 6 years old, and is described as white, with auburn hair, wearing blue swimming trunks with a red waistband, and approximately 1 metre tall (3ft 3in). The boy was reported missing around 4pm and police, assisted by the fire service, coastguard, lifeguard and helicopter, are currently involved in the search.

People are desperately searching all over the dunes, the beach and woods.
