It's 'TRUE', Martin Kemp loves Formby Bubble
Formby ladies saw their chance to get up close and personal with their idol, Martin Kemp when they visited the Atkinson in Southport and couldn't resist showing him our Formby Bubble newspaper!
From the incredible global success of Spandau Ballet to hitting the headlines on BBC1’s Eastenders – Martin Kemp has a truly amazing career which spans three decades. He has conquered personal challenges, had a best selling book and won many new fans on Celebrity Big Brother and not forgetting his stunning performance in the International hit movie THE KRAYS.
Following an epic Spandau reunion tour, playing to thousands of people in stadiums, Martin decided he wanted to do something more personal to connect with his legions of fans.
“A Spandau Ballet tour is something of a monster really, it’s such an incredible thing to play to thousands of people in massive arenas, but you are nothing more than a speck of dust for the people at the back so I thought it’d be good to do something more real and personal.
“A show where people get a chance to see the real me and hear some of my stories, stories they’ve probably heard bits of before, but to hear it from me first hand will be something different I think.” Martin explained.
An Audience with Martin Kemp at the Atkinson where people could get intimate and sit and listen to Martin talking about his life and being in the business. Members of the public had a chance to put their questions forward to Martin, in the flesh!
