Are you ready for the local elections on Thursday?
The Local Government and Police & Crime Commissioner elections will be held this Thursday 5 May 2016.
Polling stations throughout Formby will be open from 7am-10pm.
You will be able to vote for your preferred candidate for Harrington Ward and Ravenmeols. As we said in our last issue, Harrington Ward will be guaranteed a new face on the council as Labour politician Nina Killen has chosen not to stand again in Formby, preferring instead to opt for an attempt to gain a seat in Maghull.
Her ward will now be contested between Alf Doran (Labour) Stephen McCluskie (Lib Dems) Michael Pit (Conservatives) and Richard Willis (Greens).
Harrington labour Councillor Tim Hale will be aiming to hold on to his seat but faces competition from Bob Mcann (Community Action Party) Wendy Moore (Conservatives and Jean Boardman (UKIP).
