Illegal traveller encampment in Formby

An Illegal Traveller encampment has set up in Sumner Rd car park in Formby. It has been reported to Sefton Council and the Police by local Councillors.

Cllr Simon Jamieson said: "Some people may not be aware, Sefton Council actually have a well provided for traveller site on Southport old Rd in Formby, just by Formby Hall Golf Club so there is no need for them to be in Sumner Rd".

The travellers set up on Saturday 16th April with two caravans in Sumner Road car park which is owned by Sefton Council and carries a two hour stay permit.
