Volunteers wanted for Christian Aid Week starts 15th May

'Is it worth doing house to house collections in this day and age?' The

Formby Committee would like to respond yes because:

1 Last year we raised over £8000.00 even though we covered fewer roads.

2 It raises the profile of Christian Aid which gives help to the most needy in our world, regardless of creed, colour or nationality.

3 You can see what a difference the money makes to people's lives.

This year the focus is on Bangladesh. Building up of land to create safe areas above the flood level, following the life of Morsheda and her children. She has been flooded out four times, her youngest son rolled into the water whilst asleep and she had to rescue him. There is constant fear of snakes and large objects coming down the river. What we need is more volunteers to help us collect and therefore raise more funds to help

families like Morsheda's. Christian Aid Week starts on Sunday 15th May and ends Saturday 21st May.
