Ford Mondeo acting suspiciously near to Duke Street Park seized by Police

In response to residents concerns regarding Anti-Social vehicle use in the West Sefton area, Merseyside Police have increased patrols in an attempt to disrupt this behaviour.
Yesterday evening at approximately 19:20 hrs they had officers on plain-clothes patrol in the area of Duke Street Park, Formby.
The officers observed the occupants of a Ford Mondeo acting suspiciously near to the park. When the officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the Mondeo made off at speed and was subsequently lost.
Registered keeper enquiries traced the vehicle to an address in Liverpool, L9. Later the same evening officers attended the address, due to the circumstances of the incident the vehicle was seized utilising police powers under section 59 Police Reform Act 2002.
