Tackling Bike Theft in Sefton
As the weather improves following the long winter months, you may feel the urge to start using your bicycles again.
Upon returning from your ride, please ensure you lock your bicycle up securely in your shed or garage. Do not leave it on open view to passers-by, as opportunist thieves may be operating in your area.
As well as locking your shed or garage, it is advisable to lock your bike to a large or heavy object e.g. lawnmower. If possible secure it to the floor or walls of the building in which it is stored.
When you are out and about always ensure your bike is locked with a good quality lock.
During April half-term we will be holding two property registration events, as follows:-
Ainsdale
Wednesday 6th April 2016
1-3pm MeCycle, Station Road, Ainsdale
Formby
Wednesday 13th April 2016.
1-3pm at Formby Pool
Please come along and register your bicycle. Your support will help to prevent crime / theft in the future.
