Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service supports police scrambler bike campaign
Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service is proud to support Merseyside Police and Crime Commissioner Jane Kennedy, who is working in partnership with the crime-fighting charity Crimestoppers to encourage people to come forward with information about the location of unlicensed and uninsured scrambler bikes. The campaign will see leaflets being delivered to up to 15,000 homes in ‘hotspot’ areas across #Merseyside, asking people to anonymously give information to Crimestoppers about the use of nuisance bikes and where they are stored. Crimestoppers isn’t interested in your name, just what you know, so make sure you have as much details about the bike and rider as possible including: • A description of who is riding the bike • Where the bike is being used • When it is being used e.g morning, daytime, evening or through the night • Details about the vehicle such as make, model, colour etc • Who owns the vehicle and where it may be stores, if known Anyone with information should contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or they can make contact through the charity’s website at crimestoppers-uk.org
