World Book Day is on Thursday 3rd March
This year World Book Day will be this Thursday 3rd March and lots of children will be dressing up as their favourite fictional characters from books that they enjoy reading.
Formby schools will be full of children dressed as their favourite characters. Organisers are sending book tokens and resource packs full of ideas and activities, display material to schools and more information about how to get involved in World Book Day.
Youngsters then take their voucher to a local bookseller and can use it to pick one of ten (exclusive, new and completely free) books. Or they can get £1 off any book or audio book costing over £2.99 at a participating bookshop or book club.
The Olde Bookshop in Formby is closing down. Jon needs to clear his stock and still has lots of great books all at discounted prices. Please take your book tokens to his shop and show your support.
We would ask everyone to please pop in and buy something. Show your support as much as possible in their final few months.
