Formby businessman stars in BBC show - 'Homes Under The Hammer'

Homes Under the Hammer is a British factual renovation and auction series that originally screened on BBC One as part of the BBC's morning television schedule and has been running since 2003.

Formby businessman Mr Andy Berry featured in the programme on Thursday 25th February. Andy bought a house at an auction in Liverpool with business partner Matt.

The house had a guide price of over £70,000 but, Andy managed to scoop it up for just £69,000.

Andy who is an engineer by trade bought the house after seeing it that morning! He said: "I don't know the area well and am not usually as frivolous as that!"

Twelve weeks after purchasing the semi detached house, Martin Roberts went back to see Andy and the house was completely renovated to a very high standard making the brothers, Andy and Matt a very healthy profit.
