Well done to Rowlands Pharmacy who raised £96 for World Cancer Day

Rowland's Pharmacy on Chapel Lane in Formby did a cycle ride in their shop in aid of cancer for World Cancer Day. They were aiming to ride the equivalent of 116 miles from Formby to Aberystwyth.

Shop Manager, Simon Prendergast said: "We decided it would be fun to set up a exercise bike In the pharmacy and set a challenge to cycle a certain distance. Rowlands have branches over most of the UK, so we decided to choose another Rowlands Pharmacy branch near Aberystwyth in mid Wales to cycle to. The company has its origins in Wales, we thought it appropriate and the distance was achievable."

At 8.30am a selection of Simon's dedicated team, each cycled a portion of the 116 miles from Formby to Aberystwyth.

Simon went on to say: "Patients and local shoppers have supported us with generous donations and we managed to raise £96.00 including donations from selling of unity bands for cancer. Many thanks for all your support."
