Local charity wanted - to benefit from food donation scheme from My Local

Are there any charities in Formby that might benefit from the My Local food donation scheme?

The new store in Chapel Lane in Formby called My Local is looking for a local charity that is based within a mile of the Formby store who would like to get involved with the leftover food donation scheme.

Pat Leckie who is the My Local Charity Champion for the store said: "I am looking for a local charity, within a mile of the shop, who would like to get involved with our 'leftover food donation scheme'."

"At the moment, the food is wasted, which means it goes into landfill. We are sure it could be put to better use."

The My Local store is also looking for a local charity to provide them with charity boxes to put in their branch.

The former Morrisons store was sold out to entrepreneur Mike Greene who is backed by family investment group Greybull last year and the store has so far had a great success fitting in comfortably with our Bubble.
