'Go Commando' moves from Mere Brow to Shorrocks Hill site in Formby
Former Royal Marine Steven Howard is set to move his Go Commando base from Mere Brow to Formby and is optimistic about the big move.

Southport man Steven Howard completed a tour of duty in Afghanistan with the Royal Marines
Steven, who completed a tour of duty in Helmand, expects to open at the Shorrocks Hill site within the next four weeks.
In a message on his company's Facebook page, he posted: "It has been a great 3 years at the Leisure lakes and I want to say thank you to each and every one of you who attended. I have seen some amazing transformations in that time and seen some amazing friendships grow. "

Steven, who is from Southport, said that he intends to build a bigger and better assault course at Shorrocks Hill. He said: "We will expand and improve our assault course.
The new site at Shorrocks Hill will be heavily focused toward birthday party events and events for children. I am passionate about offering young people an alternative to watching DVDs and playing on their Xboxes.
We will be teaching tent building, fire building, practicing unarmed combat and nerf gun wars. We will be continuing our dad and lad camping events, which have proved to be so popular in the past.

" In the long term I would like to use my experience of the military to develop wargame scenarios with paintball and airsoft guns."
And Steven also revealed that he is hosting a 'It's a knockout' type family fun event at Southport's Victoria Park on March 27.
Steven's Go Commando site will be based in the woodland at the rear of the Shorrocks Hills country club.

More about 'Go Commando'....
All our trainers share one great ethos, Work Hard - Play Hard! After long careers as Royal Marine Commando's and all serving on operations in Afghanistan we have returned home and decided to give the public an insight into the motivational techniques used by the military, to not only get the best out of our recruits, but to get them to bond as a team and push each other as one unit to achieve their goals. After getting great results from our members on local parks, we have enterprised Go commando into a more professional and permanent structure. We are fully equipped with our own assault course and bags of morale!!! We offer bespoke packages for group bookings from team bonding to stag do's. No headphones, no mobiles, no TV's, just good honest training in an outdoor environment.
