We have FOUR 'outstanding' schools in Formby, according to Ofsted

There are 19 schools in Sefton that are rated “outstanding” by education watchdog Ofsted and four of them are in our Bubble.

Range High School, Formby High School, Freshfield Primary School and Our Lady's of Compassion

The 19 schools range from a special needs school with just 50 pupils to a giant high school educating more than 1,100 children.

North Sefton dominates the league table, with four 'outstanding' schools in Formby and six in Southport.

Schools can be given one of four ratings after a visit from Ofsted – outstanding, good, requires improvement or inadequate.

As well as exam results, Ofsted inspectors also take into account the quality of teaching and the views of pupils.
