Free logs to Formby residents this Saturday

The site of the former Holy Trinity Primary School on Lonsdale Road is coming along well with the clearing of the site for the new devlopment of 42 sheltered retirement apartments for the elderly.
The site foreman, Mark has arranged, along with local Councillors Simon Jamieson and Denise Dutton for logs from the site to be given away to members of the public free of charge on a designated day.
The logs will be available this Saturday 9th January between 9am and 12 noon. If you want any logs, just turn up and take some directly from the site free of charge. A second date will also become available of which we will let you know.
Cllr Simon Jamieson and Cllr Denise Dutton said: "We are very grateful to Churchill for their kind gesture".


Churchill Retirement Living is planning to build 42 sheltered retirement apartments for the elderly on the site of the former Holy Trinity C Of E Primary School, Lonsdale Road, Formby
Plans for the development were officially passed by the council at the end of September, and Churchill Retirement Living said: "the one and two bedroom retirement housing development will provide attractive, high quality, self-contained apartments in landscaped grounds”.
The site was unused and boarded up for some years before the work commenced on 29th November last year.
