FORMBY JUNIOR SPORTS CLUB WISHES EVERYONE A HAPPY NEW YEAR.

After an enforced long break without football due to some dreadful weather including Storm Frank it is hoped that Formby Junior Sports Club will be off to great start in 2016 with a full programme of fixtures this coming weekend – Saturday January 9th and Sunday January 10th. INTER CLUB All age groups will play their matches at the usual kick off times and all Coaching sessions will also be scheduled to commence at the normal times. Members are to arrive fifteen minutes before start times. This could be a New Year’s Resolution as prompt starts can only be made if everyone is on time. NEW MEMBERS are welcome in all Inter Club age groups. Membership fees will now be half price for those joining in January. REPRESENTATIVE TEAMS Representative team members are asked to contact their team managers for arrangements for this weekend’s games if they have not already been contacted. RESULTS OF RECENT MATCHES PLAYED ON 19/12/15 FJSC UNDER 13’S UNITED 5 FJSC UNDER 13 BLACKS 0 Gerard Casterton was the man of the match scoring a hat-trick in the first half. Jenson Finn and Josh Smith also scored. The Blacks (an Under 12 team) played well in the second half. United are top of the Premier Division with a three- point lead over their nearest rivals. FJSC UNDER 13’S WHITE 3 REDGATE ROVERS 2 Josh Steele scored twice and Callum Richmond was also on target with a goal as the Whites won this exciting derby match. Man of the match was George Treble. The Whites are now fourth in the Championship Division. FJSC UNDER 16’S 2 REDGATE ROVERS 1 The Under 16’s moved into third place after this hard earned win and are only one point behind the two leading teams. REDGATE ROVERS 7 FJSC UNDER 17’S 0 The Under 17’s lost to the league leaders and are now fifth in the Under 18 Championship Division.
