Formby schools best in the borough for mixed schools in GCSE results for 2015

Range High and Formby High took second and third place in the best performing schools for Sefton in their GCSE results 2015 which makes Our Formby schools top of the league for mixed schools in the whole of the borough.

Range High earned 73% A* to C including English and Maths and Formby High earned 70% A* to C including English and Maths making our Bubble the number one for mixed schools in the borough.
Greenbank High School was the best in the borough for the proportion of pupils earning at least five GCSEs at grades A* to C including English and maths.
New Government statistics show Greenbank High School was the best in the borough for the proportion of pupils earning at least five GCSEs at grades A* to C including English and maths.
Across England, the proportion of pupils achieving at least five GCSEs at A* to C including English and maths increased by 0.2 percentage points, with 52.8% of pupils in all schools, and 56.1% of pupils in state-funded schools, achieving the measure last year.
In state-funded schools, 38.6% of pupils entered, and 23.9% achieved, the English Baccalaureate (EBacc) - passes in English, maths, history or geography, two sciences and a language.

The figures show that converter academies outperformed the national average by 7.2 percentage points, with 64.3% of pupils achieving at least five GCSEs at 5 A* to C including English and maths.
Sponsored academies saw a rise in the number of pupils reaching the expected standard compared to last year. Results in sponsored academies open for two academic years have improved by 2.3 percentage points since 2014.
