Small Business Rates Relief

The Chancellor of the Exchequer announced on 25 November at the 2015 Autumn Statement that the doubling of the Small Business Rate Relief scheme would continue for a further year (2016-17).

Multipliers

The Provisional Multipliers for 2016-17 have been announced:

Provisional non-domestic multiplier for 2016-17 is 49.7p
Provisional small business non-domestic multiplier for 2016- 17 is 48.4p

The provisional multipliers will be confirmed after either the Local Government Finance Report for 2016-17 has been approved by the House of Commons or 1 March 2016, whichever is earlier.
