Young girl stalked by a man in a car in Formby

An incident yesterday in Formby has left a young girl shaken.

Yesterday - Tuesday 19th January, a 15 year old girl was walking home between Windsor Road and Altcar Lane in Formby when she realised she was being followed by a man in a car.

The man is described as an older gentleman and driving a dark green Mercedes Estate.

The incident happened around 5:40pm. The car sped off when the young girl ran up her nans path. After hearing of the stalker, her nan then drove her back up the road to see if they could see the car which had left the scene.

The Police have been informed of the incident and St. Luke's and Range High have also been informed.

The young girls mother said: "Hopefully this can be passed around the Formby community, I just want everyone to be aware of it."
