Howard Kendall is forever in Formby at 'Howard's Place' in Woodwards
Woodwards Winebar in Formby have unveiled a plaque as a tribute to the great Howard Kendall who sadly passed away last October.

Legendary former Everton manager Howard Kendall was a regular at Woodwards and was known to prop up the bar whilst chatting to regulars. Woodwards have now had the commemorative plaque placed at the bar where he used to stand and it will now forever be known as 'Howard's Place'.
The plaque was unveiled by Howard's closest friend Brian Greenhalgh. The plaque reads:

Everton's Greatest Manager
A True Gentleman and a True Blue

Woodwards wrote on their Twitter page:
The plaque was commissioned by local businessman, Neil Lofthouse and made by specialist Kevin Ball, both of whom were good friends of Howard's.
Pat Wordley of Woodwards said: "It is situated by his favourite place at the bar, it is a lovely reminder of a wonderful man and a sadly missed friend".

Howard Kendall, Everton's most successful manager, died aged 69 on 17 October 2015.
