12-year-old Formby girl missing since before Christmas found safe and well


A 12-year-old girl from Formby who had been missing from home since Saturday December 19 has returned home safe and well.

Lois Elliott was last seen at about 5.33pm on Saturday, 19 December at McDonalds restaurant on Church Street, Liverpool city centre.

Her family and the police had become concerned for safety following her disappearance. Lois had been described as white, around 5ft 3in tall, of slim build, with a pale complexion, green eyes and with long straight brown hair.

She was last seen wearing a black top, grey leggings, a black coat with fur around the hood and grey Nike Hurrache shoes, and is described as having a Liverpool accent.

Merseyside Police would like to thank members of the public and media organisations who assisted their appeal.
