FRESHFIELD Animal Rescue Centre have launched a festive plea to the people of Formby to help re-home one of their longest residents in time for Christmas.

Buster, an 11 year old Cross Breed, was taken to a dog pound after escaping from his owner's house. Following an extensive search his owner was eventually found and said she no longer wanted Buster, so he was taken to Freshfield Animal Rescue centre. He has been at Freshfield's for two and half years, and is hoping to find his forever home in time for Christmas. Debbie Hughes, Fundraiser at Freshfield's said: “Buster is a lovely, friendly boy who just wants a friend to keep him safe. ”His tail never stops wagging, and he often found running around exploring the area. “Don't be fooled by his age, Buster can out run most young dogs. He is full of beans and very active. ”He loves walks and would really benefit from a home that loves being out and about. “Buster is very friendly with people and is truly one of the happiest dogs we have ever met. ”Please don't overlook him, he has been through a lot and deserves some stability in his life.“ For more information contact Freshfield's Animal Rescue Centre on 0151 931 1604.
