Formby Primary School comes second best primary school in Merseyside for 2015 SATS results

There are six schools in the region where 100% of pupils achieved a Level 4 or above in reading, writing and maths

Today, Merseyside’s 10 best - performing primary schools were revealed and a Formby school came second place with 100% of pupils achieving a level 4 and above and an average overall score of 31.8. Our Lady of Compassion in Formby is a Catholic Primary School on Bull Cop in Formby. A huge congratulations to the fantastic staff and pupils that have obviously worked so hard. Well done!

Across England, 80% of pupils achieved Level 4 or above in all of reading, writing and mathematics this year, compared to 78% in 2014.
A school in Wirral had one of the highest levels of value added in England for its pupils’ Year 6 SATS results.
Value added scores aim to measure how much better pupils do than might be expected, based on previous attainment and progress.
Well Lane Primary School in Tranmere had a value added score of 103.4 for its 2015 results, this means pupils are doing 3.4% better than the expected score of 100, one of the best value added scores in England.
