Formby Poppy girl is an inspiration and only nine years old.

Nine year old Daisy Pruden decided that she was going to raise money for this year's Poppy Appeal. She made her own poppies and gave them to family and friends for a donation to the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.
This raised over £20 on her own, as well as the contribution from the rest of St. Luke's Primary School.
This delighted the Formby Branch Committee so much that they decided to award Daisy a 'Certificate of Appreciation' for work done by her own effort, together with her own Popy Box full of goodies!
Chairman Ken Ward said "We would like to do this for everyone who helped us this year, but Daisy's contribution touched our hearts."
Well done Daisy, a true inspiration to everyone.
