Where police have used stop and search powers in Formby

Police can use the powers to question people about suspected stolen goods, weapons and drugs.
For the first time we can reveal how many police 'stop and searches' have been used in Formby. The information, which is published online on the police.uk website, allows residents to see figures for the number of stops and their outcomes.
Police declined to comment on the use of stop and search powers in Formby.
The move to make the information publicly available is part of a drive by the Government to increase transparency over the controversial stop and search tactics.
The figures for Formby from June are; 2, 5, 11 and 4. Many of the searches were in relation to stolen goods and controlled drugs.
Earlier this year Home Secretary Theresa May announced that she intends a review of police stop and search powers.
