Formby's very own Hop & Horn has hit the national papers with new burger named the 'Klop

Jurgen Klopp is the new German coach at Anfield and The Hop & Horn in Formby has created a special burger in his honour.

Jurgen Klopp is being made to feel very welcome in Formby as the local restaurant have created the new burger, coloured in a similar fashion to the German flag, and have called it "The Klopper".

The German has been seen in Formby house hunting this week after signing a three-year deal to become the new Liverpool manager on Thursday.

Chef Felicia Zenko is hoping that Klopp will relish the chance to try her new creation.

She said: “We have heard that Jurgen likes his burgers and we thought we would create one for him.

"We wanted to develop something that was original with a hint of craziness, a bit like Klopp. Hopefully we have done it and he is welcome to come and try it for free anytime”.

Merseyside has gone crazy for Klopp over the last week and one of the members of staff even suggested a change of name from the Hop and Horn to the Klopp and Horn.

There is even rumour that the staff have even been forced to wear caps, beards and glasses in homage of the new reds boss.

Hop and Horn Co-owner Sean Gallagher added: “We are all huge football fans and having Klopp in our village is a real buzz.

"We have had some fun creating burgers for him and we are even working on one with his favourite Currywurst in it.

"Formby has been home to many famous footballers and managers over the years and we hope that we are Mr Klopp's favourite new place to relax."
