Formby Scouts to host a fireworks display this bonfire night

Hundreds of people turned up to last years display
FORMBY residents are being invited to attend a bonfire celebration hosted by the 1st Formby Scout Group. The fireworks display is being held at the old Holy Trinity Primary School playing fields on Lonsdale Road on Thursday November 5.

Entrance to the event is £3 for adults, £2 for children and £10 for a family. Hot and cold drinks, burgers and hotdogs will be on sale along with sweets and glow sticks.
A spokesperson for the scouts said: “We hope everyone will come along and have some fun and help support our work with young people in Formby. ”All proceeds from the evening will go towards group funds. Tracing it's history back to 1908 the scout group was on of the first to register with The Boy Scouts Association in January 1909.

“The group is independent and bears the full cost of maintaining its historic headquarters which are now almost 100 years old. ”Please try to avoid parking on Lonsdale Road or Rosemary Lane to aid emergency access to the site.“ Gates open at 6pm and the display will begin at 7.15pm.
