Range High School hockey team win county round of National Cup for third year running

RANGE High School's Year 9 Hockey team have smashed another record after wining the county round of the National School's Hockey Cup for the third year running, making it a school record. The school were up against teams from Merchant Taylor's, Greenbank, St Edwards, Liverpool College and Bluecoat.
All goals were scored by Range High school's talented centre forward, Sophie Cook. Gill Burns, Range High's Hockey Coach said: “A special mentions also needs to go to Nina Macy, Holly Steiger and Hannah Fraser for their brilliant support work. ”Our other hard working players include, Rebecca Warne, Jess Bain, Beth Carney and goal keeper, Charlotte Armstrong. “Three new players stepped up to the mark in their first tournament, thank you to Lauren Smith, Alice Rennie and Niamh O'Brien. ”Well done girls.“ The team have now qualified for the regional finals later in the year.
