Formby Christmas Lights Appeal 2015

This year, apart from the supply, erection and maintenance of the Christmas lights, we will also be organising a ‘Switch On’ event, due to take place on Sunday 22nd November.

There will be a full day of entertainment for all the family, including Christmas Market Stalls, fairground rides, a visit by Father Christmas and live music and dancing from the main stage from 2pm ‘till the lights are switched on.

The lights will be switched on at 5pm

This year, we are hopeful of replacing all the bulbs in the trees as well as replacing ‘Frosty’ on the Chapel Lane traffic island.

Due to further cut-backs from Sefton, the funding of the Christmas tree and lights is now totally dependant on contributions from local traders, concessions from stall-holders, and the Parish Council. If you would like a stall on the day, please let us know.

We hope that you will provide a donation however large or small, to support this great event which brings the community of Formby together and boosts the local Formby businesses during the festive season.

SPONSORSHIP: Do you own a local business and want to show your support for the local community? You could sponsor one of the lit trees, perhaps (we need to replace the bulbs in most of them)? Or make a donation on behalf of your business.

PERSONAL DONATIONS: If you live in Formby and love the Christmas lights, you can make a private donation, however big or small.

GET INVOLVED: We have a small team of dedicated volunteers and welcome more helpers! You don't have to attend lots of meetings but if you are keen to do your bit for the community maybe there's a project you can help us with?
