PART TIME COOK, ST JOSEPH'S HOME, FRESHFIELD, FORMBY, MERSEYSIDE

Salary: £13,446 - £13,989 pro rota
St. Joseph’s Home is a residential care home, set in a beautiful location in a pine forest near the sand dunes and beach at Freshfield, near Formby. The home is arranged in three separate living areas, and we are committed to offering a person centred, high quality service to the people with learning disabilities and complex high care and support needs who live there.
We are looking for a candidate with a "Can Do" attitude and a passion to produce delicious home cooked food! They must have a conscientious, professional and hardworking outlook. The 8 people who live in one area of St Joseph’s have high dependency care requirements and look forward to their mealtimes – we also provide a Short Breaks Service within the home.
The candidate will work as part of a team, but with sole responsibility for preparing, cooking and serving the lunch time meal and the evening meal. We are not looking for lots of qualifications, but a proven track record in catering would be an advantage. There are opportunities for training and career development.
The candidate's duties will include contributing to the menu planning, stock rotation, ordering of stocks, accepting food deliveries, and liaising with the people who live at St Joseph’s. The candidate will contribute to the smooth running of all aspects of the day to day running of the home. Join us and really make a difference to people's lives. You will be required to support the people we support on a daily basis, fully understand their nutritional needs and requirements and understand what is important to and important for the people we support.
