Santa's Enchanted Forest returns to Formby this December

Santa's Enchanted Forest will return to Formby for a second year in December.

The popular festive event is organised by Southport ex-marine, Steven Howard, who also runs Go Commando fitness camps for children.

Ste said: “Last year, we had a meet and greet with Santa and a walk through the woods.

“This year we are based in Formby and it will be more about an experience than a walk-through.

“There are more interactive things going on and it is all about theatre and magic.”

Families will be grouped up together as they walk through the foods and witness elves at work, giant candy picking and, of course, see Santa who will be arriving in his sleigh in the snow – all within the grounds of the Enchanted forest.

The Facebook page for Santa's Enchanted Forest has amassed 7,000 likes after the popularity of last year's festivities.

Ste said: “I just want to build on the success of last year.

“Things are getting a bit manic already – not bad for only being middle of September.

“It sold out last year, so if you want to go, make sure you book early.

“Next year we will run it again, and I am hoping to open a second Enchanted Forest for 2016 as well.”

Santa's Enchanted Forest is at Shorrocks Hill, Lifeboat Road, Formby.
