Formby Library re-opens next Tuesday

Formby library has almost completed the refurbishment and is due to re-open next Tuesday 1st September. This will be a week behind schedule but worth it.

The Formby Principal Library Manager said,

"The refurbishment is for library use only with a state of the art coffee vending machine for a quiet read with a classy cup of coffee. We will also be offering new computers for public to use, free wifi, reading groups and much more".

The fantastic Simon Archer from Wisewood has carved this amazing squirrel which will be installed at the new Formby Library. He is named Chubby.

Wisewood Sculptor said "Chubby the squirrel oiled and awaiting installation at Formby library".

The library closed completely on 5th August and was due to open on 25th August but are running slightly behind schedule.

The Formby Library Opening Hours will be.....

Monday - Friday 10:00am – 5:00pm

Saturday 10:00am – 2:00pm

Reminiscence group, 3rd Friday each month at 2pm
Lego Club, Sat 12.00pm for age 5 (booking not required)
Card craft reading group, fortnightly on Thurs 1.30pm-3.30pm
Knitting and Crochet Club, 1st Wednesday Monthly starting 5/11/2014 at 2pm – please contact the library
Family History Help desk, First Tuesday of the month 10.30am-12.00pm
Monthly Talks, 2nd Tuesday of the month at 2pm (please phone for details and to book a place)
