A true legend of Formby Cricket Club has passed away - Neil Edwards
It is with regret that we announce the death of Formby Cricket Clubs Neil Edwards on Saturday 8th August. Neil was a long-serving member of the club and also joined MCUA (Merseyside Cricket Umpires Association) in 2006. Neil umpired until this season when illness prevented him from standing in any matches. He was also the hard working Secretary of the League Cricket Conference.
Neil worked tirelessly for all forms of cricket and was looked upon as a true legend at Formby Cricket Club as they said in their tweet

Neil Edwards funeral will be held at Southport Crematorium, Southport Road, Scarisbrick PR8 5JQ - Tomorrow - Tuesday 18th August at 3:20pm
This is followed at the Gild Hall, Church Road, Formby L37 3NG.
Formby Cricket Club have said that Club ties or polos would be a great tribute.
