A charity collection box has been stolen from Express Dry Cleaners in Formby. This is not the first time that it has happened, in fact, it is the Third time that they have been targeted by the same person, whom they caught red handed helping himself and managed to stop him but he returned yesterday to finish the job.
The independant store tries to do it's bit for charity but, it is becoming dangerous to have the charity boxes on show on the counter. The boxes need to be chained to the counter if possible.
Ashley, who runs the dry cleaners in Cross Green in Formby said, "I think the best idea would be to empty them when they are getting full but, I don't really like to tamper with them. It puts the shop keepers in a bad predicament."
Ashley has had two Cancer Research boxes stolen and a Jospice box stolen in the last few months. The incident is being reported to the Police.
