As from tomorrow morning, Wednesday 5th August, Formby Library will be closed completely until their refurbishment is complete. It is expected to re-open on Tuesday 25th August if all goes to plan.
There have been rumours about the front of the library being used as a part time community Police Station but, we can now confirm that this is not true.
The Formby Principal Library Manager said,
"The refurbishment is for library use only with a state of the art coffee vending machine for a quiet read with a classy cup of coffee".
Formby Library is undergoing a 12 week renovation programme, which started in May.
During the ongoing building work parts of the library have been inaccessible and library activities may have been cancelled at short notice.
Due to their refurbishment there has been no access to non fiction stock and a very limited large print and talking books selection.
A limited number of peoples network computers have still been available for use.
Formby Library can be found opposite Duke Street Park.
