Formby Hall Golf Resort & Spa today announced that it has been recognised for two awards celebrating excellence in hospitality and customer service.

The Golf and Spa resort in Formby, Merseyside, has been awarded with a WorldHost Training Certificate - in recognition for excellent customer service and as a Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence Hall of Fame winner.

Both awards celebrate excellence in hospitality and are given only to establishments that consistently achieve both excellence in customer service and great traveller reviews on Tripadvisor.

WorldHost was introduced to the UK by People 1st to help the UK prepare for London 2012. These world-renowned programmes provide gold-standard training where front-line service is crucial to success. People 1st is the UK licensee of this unique programme, which has been used to great effect within Formby Hall Golf Resort & Spa to train over 160 employees.

To date over 160 members of the Formby Hall team have taken part in the WorldHost Training programme focusing on improving communication skills, creating a positive impression, dealing with difficult situations, exceeding customer expectations and building repeat business and word of mouth recommendations.

WorldHost has given the team the skills and knowledge to deliver excellent customer service that will continue to give the business a great reputation. The Tripadvisor ‘Hall of Fame’ was created to honour those businesses that have earned a Certificate of Excellence for five consecutive years.
