Accident in Formby Village

There was an accident in Halsall Lane today at approximately 3pm just outside Marks and Spencer. An elderly lady had fell off the curb and banged her head on the pavement.

The lady had fell that hard that she had damaged her ankle. There was quite a lot of blood. The Police attended to cordon off the area whilst the paramedics patched the lady up to take her to hospital.

One by-stander who works in a local shop, said "Her bone was sticking out of her ankle, there was a lot of blood".
