Salary / Rate: ISR Group 2 (L18-L21) £44,792 - £61,901 per annum
Job Description:
Clarence High School in Formby is an independent residential special school providing high quality education and support for pupils with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.
The school has a long history of excellence and a well established day; 38 and 52 week residential provision. We also offer professional led therapeutic services to support improving outcomes for all the pupils we care for.
We are looking for a leader with exceptional interpersonal skills and a proven track record in the field of special education. You will need to be:
a Headteacher / Deputy with NQPH accreditation or working towards it, who can provide leadership together with strategic management experience, inspiration and imagination
a resourceful individual who has actively led a school, demonstrably building on its achievements and with a detailed knowledge of current safeguarding requirements together with an appreciation of the environment of an independent residential special school including a willingness to assume the role of the "Responsible Individual" if necessary and after receiving sufficient guidance and training
someone with a vision to develop Clarence High School and provide a stimulating learning and care environment to bring out the best in every student, whatever the specific challenges their needs may pose, preparing them for a successful future.
able to continue to forge strong professional relationships with staff, Governors, parents and the community as well as local authorities and other strategic partners
someone with excellent management qualities and a strategic thinker who will embrace our values and ethos, thrive on responsibility and challenge and communicate our good work to external partners
a professional with a broad experience and sound current knowledge of multi disciplinary working, special education, special schools and residential care.
