Specsavers in Formby hosts Bake Off event for Red Nose Day.....

A Formby opticians is hosting a bake-off in support of Red Nose Day, and residents are invited to join the judging panel.
Staff from Specsavers in Formby will all compete to be judged the area’s best baker, with visitors to the store helping to decide the tastiest dessert on Saturday March 7. Customers are also welcome to guess the number of sweets in the jar in return for a donation to the Red Nose Day appeal.
Mark Roberts, store manager at Specsavers in Formby, says: ‘If you’re looking for a tasty way to help support Red Nose Day, the look no further. Pop by the store on the 7 March and join in the festivities, while helping us to raise cash for Red Nose Day. We look forward to seeing you then!’
Visitors to Specsavers in Formby can also get into the spirit of Red Nose Day and make their faces funny for money with Specsavers’ official Red Nose Day glasses, in sizes large and small, for just £3, with £1 donated to Comic Relief.
Specsavers in Formby has joined Specsavers stores nationwide to support Comic Relief to help poor and vulnerable people living tough lives both here in the UK and across Africa.
Whether it’s at home, work or school, the public are being encouraged to make their faces funny for money this Red Nose Day, which takes place on Friday March 13.
