Open Mic Night at Woodwards Winebar.....

Tonight and every Thursday night is Open Mic Night at Woodwards Winebar. Calling all singers, musicians and bands - every Thursday night the floor is yours. It's always a great atmosphere, so come along and "feel the love". We have a different professional / semi-professional host each event, who provide the PA system and manage the sound control. The host performs during the evening and will accompany singers if requested. We attract a wide range of artists including young bands like The Green Room and The Rangoon Sons, upcoming artists like Niamh Jones, and seasoned musicians such as father and son duo, Some Other Guy (one of our regular hosts), saxophonists, even a Barber Shop quartet! All genre of music is welcome, even poetry recitals. Our Open Mic has even attracted the attention of BBCs 'The Voice' when talent scout Kirsty Giddings checked out the talent and, put forward three of our regulars for auditions in London!
