Tennis for FREE anyone?

Sefton Council's Victoria Park in Waterloo is running another year of free tennis for budding stars of the future.
The Tennis For Free Scheme was started last year and is a partnership between Sefton Council, the nationally recognised Tennis For Free scheme, Ben Saunders Tennis and Campion Tennis Club.
Every Sunday free sessions take place for people of all ages and abilities.
Such was the success of the scheme, Tennis For Free have revealed it is one of the top 5 schemes in the country for encouraging the community into getting involved in the sport.
To celebrate, a New Year’s ‘Opening’ on Sunday, January 18 is taking place to celebrate a further year of Tennis For Free in the park every Sunday between 1-3pm.
The new opening is being called ‘Love 20-15’ and during the day there will also be a bouncy castle and face painting. To take part in any of the free tennis sessions no previous experience or equipment is required.
On Saturday, January 17, Sefton Council is planning to launch adult basketball sessions at Victoria Park from 1-3pm with Hoops and All Basketball.
The new scheme is aimed at adults and families with older children to come along and enjoy the sport with a view to improving their health and well-being.
Over the weekend, the Friends of Victoria Park group will also be present in the Forest Garden and will be running gardening type activities and tours of the popular park.
